PistonHeads Brands Hatch GP

Following our long day at Donington on Tuesday, we set off on the long journey to Brands Hatch. Our annual May GP circuit track day was this year being run in association with PistonHeads. The day was strictly limited to 65 cars to ensure that track time and space was of the best quality. The small main paddock at the circuit also requires numbers to be limited.

The GP circuit is always a firm favourite amongst track drivers with the fast sweeping nature of the circuit, suiting nearly every track vehicle. Track conditions were changeable throughout the course of the day with occasional showers passing over the circuit.

Again we had hired the circuit for the evening too. The change over from GP to Indy circuit was quickly completed in time for our 5.30pm start. This time 30 cars got ready for sighting laps and unfortunately the heavens opened. A short but very spectacular thunder storm shut the circuit for 15 minutes. Once we were under way, with the exception of two quickly cleared stoppages, the evening ran smoothly.
