I've only been instructing for BaT since 2011 but have been a friend of BaT since 2002 when I used to work in the office at Oulton Park and was responsible for checking driver’s license’s for drivers taking part in the track day. I started racing and instructing in 2005 after winning the Aintree Racing Drivers School scholarship. I started racing in Formula Ford 1600 and raced in the Northwest Championship until 2008 when I switched to racing tin tops I raced a Seat Leon in the Britcar production championship as well as contesting the Time attack championship in an 880 BHP Mitsubishi Evo. In 2009 I raced in the Elise trophy and won 10 out of 13 races. In 2010 I joined Speedworks Motorsport, which is run by BaT team members Amy and Christian Dick. Christian and I drove the Ginetta G50 to win the Avon Tyres British GT4 Championship. Since then I have been driving professionally in a range of Pro-Am championships including Lotus Cup UK, Radical Cup UK and also the MSA British Endurance Championship. When I’m not racing I can usually be found coaching drivers in a wide range of cars from Caterham Academy to Ferrari GT cars. I love my job very much I get to spend my working days doing something I love and driving and teaching on some of the best circuits in Europe. Away from work (which doesn’t happen often enough!) I like to spend my time with friends enjoying good music and the occasional over-indulgent night on the tiles. To compensate for this I try and spend a lot of my spare time in the gym. ![]() Hopefully that gives you a little insight into my life you can follow me on twitter @jsrworld or on my website www.jamiestanley.co.uk if you want to see how the racings going if not im sure I'll catch up with you on a BaT day soon even if you don’t have instruction booked feel free to come say 'Hi'. In Pictures Racing in the F3 Cup this year, in the Speedworks Motorsport GT4 in 2010 and sharing the glory with Christian. ![]() Click thumbnail to view image.
