Great fun for a trackday newbie like myself, lots of space to push things close to and above the limit and an interesting layout. Lovely sweeping corner at the top end and a selection of slow but interesting technical areas. My only grumble would be that the track consumed too much of my tyres :)

Lotus Elise
Drove one for the first time on my ARDs test at Silverstone and didn't like it - especially when it rained. Little power, and I just don't get all this talk of "balance" - it's rear-engined, FFS, AND the weight is high in the chassis!

Peugeot 206
Bl**dy awful, I had the GTI and any claims it may lay to being a drivers car are completely unfounded. Limp steering, lacklustre brakes, body roll from hell, zero feedback from the throttle or any of the pedals come to think of it, hellish visibility (my Elise is better), seats that neither myself (5' 10") or my wife (5') could adjust to suit, same problem with the steering adjustable rake but not reach. A/C controls with the most confusing and difficult layout I have ever seen that automatically switches itself on and off, the radio did the same too. All the buttons were tacky and plasticky and it made my Elise feel well-built with numerous squeaks and rattles after only a month of ownership. I have never been more dissappointed by any car (including my 1.0l Metro). Top that off with the god-awful service I received from Peugeot Contract Hire and Peugeot Finance (clueless muppets by the bucketload) and it had to be my worst car owning experience ever. Put it this way I contracted the car for 3 years, after 8 months I paid them to come and take it away. Though Peugeot still send me invoices, well I said they were muppets.
