[ More ] Posted by: Kai Vaksdal Its rare that a car should hold a five star accolade, that would suggest perfection on all levels and the Elise is definately not that - however as a track car (as we are on a trackday site) its an astonishingly good tool. ~750kg and even moderate power makes for a plenty of fun with a good chasis, throw in nearly 190hp of high reving power and you've got a very quick road going race tin. The power may not be at dizzy heights but its plenty to get going with, although the chasis makes more noise for me with its rewarding grippy fast rotation that can quite easily catch out a sleepy driver on the fast bits. Loads of oversteer makes my day and the 111R has plenty to getting along with especially with the rear wheels driving down the power. The 111R is a very accomplished track machine, it takes on bigger rivals with relative ease if you learn how to drive its snappy rear, loved every minute around Silverstone in this car and wouldn't hesitate to recommend one (for the keen track day goer).
