All the boys and all the girls, lapping it up! Search | Excellent introduction to proper driving dynamics (mid-engined, rear drive). Short of a Fiat X1/9 there is nothing cheaper with this configuration. Available for around £1000 currently. Simple and cheap mods will yield a sorted suspension and 100bhp/l. Whilst the car will be easily outclassed by most other cars on a track it really excels in teaching you how to be fast around a circuit with excellent feedback through the unassisted steering and a first-rate driving position. For those wanting more power straight out of the box there is a Supercharged version of the car available that comes with 145bhp as standard. Exhaust, filter, intercooler, and pulley mods will yield in the region of 190bhp. These are a little heavier than the NA car and really benefit from suspension mods if you're going to use it on a track. Bottom line: buy one if you want some fun whilst you're saving up for your Caterfield, Elise, or NSX... Rating: [ More Opinions ] Posted by: Alan Head |
