Ford Mondeo
2.0 5 door petrol 145PS 17" wheels continental tyres. Cracking car. Engine is surprisingly powerful. Managed an indicated 145mph on German Autobahn and certain test tracks.... Ride comfort a little firm ( 16" tyres are better ), handling very good. Kart like steering, predictable chassis. Let down a little by a choppy ride on the rear. The estate is a completely different animal in the handling dept. Positive accurate gearshift goes well with sporty chassis. Brakes very wooden and have high initial effort - 406 has better feel. Shame the build quality is not at the same level as the Passat!
