Our unique mobile service means we can tailor track driving experiences across the UK and Europe to suit most requirements, from individual bookings to groups and corporate hospitality events.

Hire of our cars is exclusive - meaning you don't share it with anyone else during the day. Additionally, we don't insist on having an instructor sat in the car all day either - so you can take out your friends and colleagues as passengers.

The Cars

For 2010, the fleet includes 8 cars as follows:-

  • 2 x Caterham Superlight (133bhp Rover K-series)
  • 2 x Caterham Superlight SV (as above but for the taller and larger driver)
  • 2 x Caterham Superlight R300 Race Cars (175bhp Duratec Powered)

    Caterham 7 Superlights - arguably the finest handling Caterham ever built. With either a 133bhp Rover K-series engine or the 175bhp Duratec engine mounted to a super-sweet 6-speed gearbox, those all important kilos have been lost from the standard Roadsport Caterhams, leaving a car that weighs just 500kg. With a perfect balance of power and handling this bantamweight can outrun the supercars in a straight line, and leave them for dead round the corners.

    The Costs

    The price for hiring one of our cars varies massively according to the venue, event format and time of year. To check pricing for a specific event, click HERE to view the calendar and then click 'BOOK' next to the event you are interested in attending. The cost of the car hire will be shown as well as the availability for each car. The cost shown should be added to the track day fee to arrive at an all inclusive price.

    Please note that 2nd drivers are not free of charge when renting one of our cars. The price for one driver is now lower but there is a fee of £100 per additional driver. This is to encourage more individual bookings and to give a more realistic pricing structure for group bookings.

    As an indication, the table below shows the typical cost of hiring one of our cars. Don't forget to add the cost of the track day to the prices below to arrive at an all-inclusive price for the day.

    The prices include:

  • Full Insurance (subject to a excess as stated)
  • Exclusive use of the cars all day
  • VAT at current rate (European events have no VAT)
  • Fuel
  • Tuition from ARDS registered instructors if requested
  • Full spares package including a spare car in the event of mechanical failure
  • Dedicated staff member to offer support with harnesses, refuelling etc

    Terms & Conditions

  • Accidents: In the event of an accident the excess liability is always with the driver and not the purchaser – all drivers must sign an agreement to this effect. This excess is paid in advance in the form of a credit card authorisation, which will then be destroyed at the end of an incident free day. If a third party wishes to cover the insurance excess (such as a corporate entity or group organiser) then we insist on having an ARDS instructor in the car at all times - at additional cost of £200 inclusive of VAT per car.

  • Instruction: A session of instruction for the main driver is included in the price. We also reserve the right to enforce further chargeable tuition should the standard of driving or level of experience necessitate so.

  • Breakdowns: In the event of any incident that effectively makes THE CAR unusable, NO refund will be given. However, in the event of mechanical breakdown through no fault of the driver, alternative cars, a pro-rata refund or a new date & venue can be arranged. Where fault is disputed in this instance, the opinion of an agreed independent assessor will be taken as final as to where the fault lies.

  • Engine Damage: All cars are fitted with a tell-tale instrument to measure peak engine revs. If the engine revs exceed 7600rpm a charge is incurred of £100 per 100rpm up to a maximum of the excess stated above. Please note that under normal driving it is not possible to over-rev the car (e.g. you cannot "drive through" the rev limiter). However, it is possible to change into the wrong gear and hence over-rev the engine through using momentum of the car.

  • Gravel Trap Damage: A £50 charge is incurred if THE CAR is taken into a gravel trap - even if no mechanical damage is caused. This is to cover the extensive cleaning costs and long-term cosmetic repairs associated with stone-chipping.

  • Age Restrictions: There are no age restrictions for driving our Caterhams. However, under 21's will be subject to a higher insurance excess (£2500 for Superlight, £5000 for R300) and will require an instructor in the car at all times.

  • Physical Restrictions: There are no physical restrictions for driving our Caterhams. However, drivers over 6'2" tall or over 16 stone may struggle to drive a standard car as cockpit space is limited. Conversely, drivers under 5'8" are unlikely to be able to drive the larger 'SV' models as the pedalbox is significantly longer.

  • BookaTrack.com reserve the right to refuse access to the cars to any person not deemed safe to drive, or behaving in a competitive or aggressive manner.
