Sort the standard tractor suspension (I got Eibach springs and Koni dampers) and puny brakes (I put on 330mm AP Racing brakes with Ferodo DS2000/DS3000 pads, Goodridge hoses and DOT 5.1 fluid) - for a 1300kg car - out and it will keep up with a Carerra.

Pirelli P-Zero Rosso
5* in the dry. Unbeatable grip. 1* in the wet. "Death on a stick". Lasted pretty well on both road and track. Once part worn (2-3mm gone) they lose quite a bit of tread pattern but are still road legal for quite some time. Don't use them part worn in the wet anytime.
