| Fabulous car, so light, so quick, so cheap. 12,500rpm screamer, F1 sound track and a sequential manual gearbox to boot. 400kg territory (which when you only weigh 62kg means sub-500kg fully loaded and on track is easily attainable!!) giving unreal stopping and cornering ability (enough to make passengers vomit) - also quick in a straight line until over 100 as long as you keep it above 8000rpm - even then, not sluggish above 100! Disagreeing with earlier comments, the Blade doesn't need dry sumping - very very few have ever gone bang (unlike birds/busas), and even then usually through not enough oil rather than surge/starvation. Larger bike engines need the dry sump, but the blade runs fine without. Worst case, a new engine/(sequential)gearbox/loom/alternator/anciliaries costs c£800!! Real proof that low weight is THE biggest advantage on track as the lighter the car, the later the breaking, the faster the cornering. All in all - the most fun I've had with my trousers still on....! Rating: [ More Opinions ] Posted by: Gary Chaplin ![]() BaT visit more circuits than any other track day organiser.
