| VTR - Another french hot hatch. Fairly tight chassis, which can be fun to drive (but tricky on the limit and easy to get it wrong) but now outclassed by more modern cars such as the brilliant Ford Puma. Uncomfortable, cramped, lousy driving position, poorly built, and has a max power image oh and its French. 90bhp 1.6i engine is coarse and noisey and not much fun to rev hard, but does offer better performance than you might think, thanks to the light weight body of the car (about 900kg), 0-60 around 10secs and top speed of about 120mph is possible. Very cheap to buy now, and as an introduction to 'sporty' cars it hits the spot, although give me a Fiesta Zetec-S anyday for almost the same money.
