| Audi TT | | Author | Comments | Rating | Save Date | | Stephen Boulds | Drove a work collegues. It was every bit as bad as they say it is. Avoid. | | 09:27 Thu 11 Mar 04 | | Tom Elliott | I can only agree with the other reviews. I've owned one for 7 months and now I'm looking to sell. Good grip in all weathers makes it fairly quick A-B. But no feedback means a dead driving experience. | | 19:37 Sat 30 Aug 03 | | James Wyatt | I thought the abuse this car gets from the keener motoring press and track day people was over the top for such a generally coveted car.
Until I drove one.
Although it is a well screwed together car, and comfortable (yet firm enough) for cruising on motorways, the handling is atrocious when you push on. Understeer city. The engine has loads of turbo lag (my Passat V6 felt a lot more responsive!) and sounds dull. I hear the new V6 version is a lot better - it needs to be! Serious drivers steer well clear. | | 14:32 Fri 28 Feb 03 | | Paul Owen | I drove one of these belonging to a friend and used to love it before buying my Elise which as a sports car, knocks the TT into a cocked hat!
The TT's box is a bit notchy and it's not the sweetest under revs. My buddy is 6'2 and looks quite comical in it. He's also had constant rattles and a brakdown. And yes a girl's car. Quick off the mark though with the 4wd. | | 12:31 Fri 6 Sep 02 | | Craig Macdonald | A bit of a womans car. I was very disappointed with the performance of this car. It's ok in a streight line but round a corner the esp system kicks in and takes all the fun out of it. You can turn it off but it still lacks driver enjoyment. But it does do well with looks so if you want a car to pose and not drive then it would be a good choice. | | 12:53 Fri 26 Jul 02 |
