In standard form the car is very able. Its only recently that the bigger hot hatches have began to pull a lead over this car due to sheer engine out put. With only 120bhp as standard it's suprising how quick this car is. However, the handling is what makes this car an ideal beginners track hot hatch. I've made some good modifications to the car, high lift cams, high comp ppistons with cuts, ported head, Jenvey throttle bodies, along with a full system and 4-1 manifold. The whole engine is mapped with DTA management and makes a modest 175 bhp @ 7650 rpm. Add that engine to the car along with hispec 4 pots, big disks and uprated pads. Bilstein dampers front and rear, tarmac springs with uprated ARB and bushes the whole car is transformed into a real hoot on the road and track. I've driven a Ztec S and its not really in the same league, then again this car is far more capable than a standard Saxo. 0 - 60 in 6 seconds, 0 - 100 in a shade over 15 and tope speed over 140 all recorded by GPS. Cossie beware of these little french terrors on track...
